At Thárros
Family Centre, we empower primary school children through school-based programs
that support both their education and personal safety. Our facilitators
dedicate four afternoons a week to Homework Support, helping students improve
academically and build confidence.
Protective
Behaviours, held three mornings a week, teaches vital safety skills to foster
resilience and self-awareness. During school holidays, we create fun
opportunities for children to engage in activities that promote creativity,
teamwork, and social skills, ensuring a safe, enriching break from school.
Additionally, our Teenage Pregnancy Awareness Program at local high schools
provides essential education and resources to help young people make informed
choices about their health and future.
Our
Mother2Mother support group for new and young mothers provides a nurturing
platform to share in the joys and challenges of parenting.
Through guided sessions, mothers gain valuable insights, practical skills, and a supportive network, empowering them to strengthen family bonds and foster their children’s growth.
